Richard Wagna left DEUTZ Company, and established a Machinery repairing factory in Waldhof of Mannheim city, to repair engine and other machines

Wagna produced the first diesel generator
which was named as“Wagna”.

Wagna started the research on alternator, the first Wagna alternator was published.

In 1980, Wagna Motor was established. Wagna Motor focused on marine, land and other types of alternator production.

 In order to fully meet requirement North-American market, Wagna set up a North American technology and accessories center in Montreal, Canada, to provide efficient and convenient service to our users.

In 1987, Wagna developed its first owned natural gas generator set , GL200-N. In the same year, located in the Germany Cologne's factory began mass production of Wagna's G-series natural gas generator sets.

In 2002, Wagna started to produce four-pole alternators based on low-voltage series for land use in Shanghai City, China. In 2008, Wagna successfully set up sales offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Urumqi and Foshan.

In 2014, according to the market demand, Guangdong Wagna Power Technology Co., Ltd. Was authorized the ‘WAGNA’ brand and technology licensing by Wagna Germany.
